CCHS Uganda 2017's Blog

Today we had breakfast at 8:15. After this, we packed up and went to the church where Josh Shaarda normally preaches and where his family attends as well. It was a two hour service that was filled with lots of singing, dancing, clapping, and scripture reading.

Today started off as a good day because we got to sleep in until 8:00. :) After breakfast, we headed to Ajulu to visit the children at Father's House which is a place for underprivileged children. These children receive free education and boarding during the school year. Everyone was very happy to have us and welcomed us into their community.

Here goes our first blog post in Uganda! We have wifi at our lodge right now so we're able to update. 

 

Our journey began with a drive down to Chicago. Then we flew to Dulles airport which was about a 2 hour flight. Next, we flew to Brussels which was about a 7 hour flight....

Hello family and friends! 

The Calvin Christian High School Africa group is trying something new...a blog! We are new to this, so we will try it out and see how it goes! :) 

Our group traveling to Uganda is looking ahead to our trip which begins this Sunday. We're excited about what the future holds and look forward to seeing all that God has in store for us as we interact with the people of Uganda.
