Dear friends and supporters,

It’s hard to believe, but the time has almost come for me to leave this country and return to Canada. It’s a strange feeling, knowing that I’m about to leave the friends and the community that I have gotten to know so well over the last year, and to leave the projects I have been working on in new hands. At the same time, I am excited to be able to return to Canada, get reacquainted with...

Hello everyone,

I extend to you greetings and blessings from here in Honduras. I also want to send a huge thank-you to all of you who donated towards my volunteer placement as part of an offering in the church or by way of a personal donation. Thanks to your generosity alone I was able to cover all the funds that I require during my time here. I feel very blessed to have the support of families and churches in Central Alberta,...

I arrived in the country 2 weeks ago now, and spent the first few days in Tegucigalpa with the World Renew staff, including Irene, my supervisor, Rolando,...

After months of exploring, discussing opportunities, talking with friends, family, and church congregations, and looking for supporters, I finally got the confirmation on Monday that I will be Honduras-bound this Friday! I have been eagerly anticipating this, and it gives me joy to finally be able to say that I am finally going. It wasn't particularly easy to get all the financial support in place, and there is still a little ways to go, but now we've made it to...

Dear Friends and Family,

It seems like only yesterday that I was boarding a plane to leave Honduras after spending 6 months there on an internship with World Renew. Now, just a short time after that, I am excited to be able to share with you that I have the opportunity to return to this country, which I have grown so fond of, and to spend one year to...
