Testing, testing, 1-2-3. Is this thing on?!
Welcome to the blog for the Guatemala Action Project for 2017! This will the be the sixth consecutive year that Pease CRC has been able to send a group of volunteers to Guatemala. The purpose of the trip is to build relationships with some of the communities that an organization called Vine and Branches is involved with. They are rural communities that amaze us each year with their incredible faith in God as well as the joy and hope they find despite their continuous struggle for basic needs like food or clean water. This year we will go to four communities doing things like delivering school supplies, helping with building projects, Bible school activities, and for the first time we will be taking family photos and coordinating a prayer partner for them with the families back here in MN. We're excited about this because these families have never had their picture taken, plus then they will get a picture of a MN prayer partner! Who couldn't use another prayer warrior in their lives, am-I-right?!!
This year's team is made up of 11 members from 4 different congregations: Pastor Michael TenHaken, Julee Moorlag, Ron Seger, Linda Droogsma, Terri DeVries, Miranda Caflisch, Robyn Cook, Mark & Terri Baas, and John & Julie Goslinga.
We will be leaving at 2am this Friday morning and as always, ask for your continued prayers. Prayers for safety, HEALTH, and for God to guide us as we continue building relationships and supporting these beautiful brothers and sisters in Christ!
Sick of me rambling yet? Too bad because I was voted official blogger, so we're just getting started!
